Quick Update on AuPairMom Feature ….

by cv harquail on March 9, 2009

Hi Host Moms-

You can always tell when things have been crazy at work in a good way, because days weeks pass by before I get a good post up here! I really appreciate that you keep up a conversation with each other through the comments, and I’ve appreciated the nudge to ramp back up. I’m scheduling some posts ahead of time so that I can keep up with you all!so much to tell you scribex.jpg

As the writing on the wall says: I have so much to tell you. I have a backlog of posts that you can’t imagine… I write many of them when I’m taking a shower or trying to fall back asleep. My fantasy blogging life is much more productive than my actual blogging life.  … And why, given all the other things to write about, I’d choose to address vermin, well I just can’t explain that.

Many readers have discovered the Skribit feature, over on the right in the sidebar. The feature lets you suggest a topic and vote on other people’s topic suggestions. I’ll be queuing up posts on some of these topics too.

When you use the Skribit feature to make suggestions… please go ahead and give more information if you want to. The more you tell me/us about what you want to talk about, the easier it will be to satisfy your questions and curiosity!

Of course, I’ll still draw topics from your comments and from the "Need Advice" page

Still haven’t fixed the email address thing, so if you want to contact me directly, use my work address:

Really, there is so much to tell you…and to learn from you.

CVH, I was wondering is there is a way to make a list of Recent Comments to the right longer the 6 comments? Sometimes there are good discussion going in several posts at once and it is hard to keep track of which posts have been updated with comments if they fall off the Recent Comments log.

Thanks for the suggestion Maya… I’ve popped it up to 12. Let’s see if that is enough to help us keep track of the amount of conversation!

Thank you. I think that works great.

Woo hoo! I’ve been thinking about asking the same thing — thanks for bringing it up, Maya — and thanks for “fixing” it, cvh!
