I am a big fan of Mother’s Day, mostly because I love the beautiful things that my girls make for me. Posters, bookmarks, pens with flowers instead of caps, the apron sewn from a bedsheet I’d put in the rag bag, all that stuff I just love.
My girls usually make me something of their own invention, but they also like to make me things that (they think) I want, which is how I got the hand-lotion bottle cover made of decorative paper, last year.

This year they asked me about gifts for Mother’ Day, and we had a long conversation about what I’d really really like, including:
- Piano practice without nagging
- No sisterly bickering
- Beds made every day
- A book made from all the posts on AuPairMom,
and one other thing…
- More AuPairMom subscribers.
My girls can give me everything but that last Mother’s Day wish.
Which is where you all come in.
I bet that each of you readers knows a host mom, or two, or more, who may not be reading AuPairMom. And, even if she is reading AuPairMom occasionally, she might not be signed up to get the AuPairMom posts delivered directly into her inbox, the super-easy way.
This host mom (or dad) might really appreciate the conversation, the insights and the advice that get shared on AuPairMom… so why not give this to her (or him) as a Mother’s Day gift?
The easiest way to give a subscription to AuPairMom as a Mother’s Day gift is to use the ‘Share this’ feature in the bottom left corner of this post (and all others). If you click on the “share this” link, you get options to email, tweet, etc. the post. You can easily email this post to friends.
Then, they can go to the little gray box underneath our cute little owl, enter their email, and voila! Instant Mother’s Day gift! How great is that!
If you are wondering why someone might want to subscribe by email, check out the page “Don’t miss a thing! Subscribe by email!” You can access that page using the navigation button above the blog title.
One last thing– you can give yourself an email subscription to AuPairMom too.
Happy Mother’s Day! cvh
